Welcome to the Prairie Lakes District of Northern Star Council. This site exists to serve the needs of our scouting families and to provide information for those looking for a scouting home. In addition to specific information about our district, we have provided links at left to Northern Star Council and the BSA site for more general scouting information. to your email id's about events and activities. A Note from your District Executive, Allie Gardiner! Welcome back Everyone. I am glad to see the summer wrapping up and can begin to feel fall recruitment in the air. I am looking forward for the opportunity to get to each and every one of your unit's meetings sometime this early fall. One of our goals of the district this year is to develope an easier way to communicate to each of the units. One way to do this is through Roundtable. Another way is email; we need each unit to send us a list of the key leader emails (Cubmaster/Scoutmaster, Committee Chair and Chartered Organization Representative) so that important information regarding District/Council events etc reaches the units and the families of the units. I have some requests to send the fliers you recieve electronically if I can build this list this will be an easy task. Please send your unit leaders emails to agardiner@northernstarbsa.org. Thank you for your help in accomplishing this goal for the district.

NEW ADULT APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS - Beginning April 1, 2003 all NEW applications for volunteer leadership positions require the new adult application. What has changed with the application process is New applicants will be required to provide a Social Security Number to facilitate a background check. In addition, a signature of the application is required, providing informed consent of the background check.
