Every Adult Leader should strive to complete the basic training for their position in order to help ensure they are offering the best program they can to their units. However, training doesn’t have to stop there. Higher-level training can be accomplished through Woodbadge, University of Scouting, and the numerous specialized training programs offered by the Council.
To be sure you have the latest information regarding training courses and dates follow this link to the Northern Star Council website.
Some training courses can be completed on-line at your own leisure. These include: Cub Scout Leader Training, Fast Start for New Leaders, Youth Protection, Troop Committee Challenge, Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, and Weather Hazards. Follow the links from the Council website to access these training courses.
