Represent Scouting at the Minnesota State Fair - Aug. 27th to Sept. 7th:
We need hundreds of energetic volunteers to work at the Adventure Summit! Northern Star Council will once again be sharing the fun and excitement of Scouting at the 2015 Minnesota State Fair.  We will be calling on volunteers to help run our Adventure Summit activity. Work a shift for Scouting, and in return we'll give you a ticket to the fair!

Attached is information on free youth shooting events this summer at the Dakota County Gun Club in Rosemount. We offer one-on-one instruction on archery, .22 caliber rifles & pistols, & 20 gauge shotguns. Come anytime & stay as long as you wish. Hope to see you this summer. Flyer, Click HERE.

Council Coordinated Committees Meeting - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - 6:30 – 8:30 PM, Dinner at 6:00 PM. Guardian Angels Catholic Church - 8260 4th Street N., Oakdale, MN 55128.
This meeting is for all members of Council and District committees. The Council Coordinated Committees Meeting takes place twice annually, in January and August. It is a time to share council-wide updates, and for committees to meet jointly and share information. In addition to the Council Operating Committee meetings, we will also hold breakout sessions for Roundtable Commissioners.
Payment can be made online with a credit card or e-check, mailed in with confirmation or paid at the door. Fee is $10.00. There is no cost for attendance only (no dinner). Dinner will only be available for pre-registered attendees.

Ladies Day Gun Shoot - Saturday, August 15th, 2015. 12PM-6PM:
(Check In will close at 5pm, but shooting continues until 6pm)
Where: 17501 Station Trail, Rosemount, MN 55068.

Who: Any female 16 and older.
What: Come out to the range to shoot a variety of guns. All equipment is provided.  Come out and enjoy a great afternoon.
How Much: There will be a $10 entrance fee. All shooting, food, ammo and activities are provided.
Online Registration: We highly encourage everyone to register online to ensure we'll have enough food, beverages and volunteers to provide a great experience.
What to bring: To speed up check-in, please print out a copy of the DCGC Liabilities Waiver Form, sign it, and bring it to the range.
- A $10 entry fee when you arrive to help cover part of the cost of the event cash or checks, please. Thank You!
- Sunscreen is advised, as all shooting is done outdoors. Comfortable shoes are a plus, too.
- All equipment and ammo is provided. Water and food will be available, too.
